Burma Camp woman held for committing 41 burglaries

A middle-aged woman was arrested on Wednesday for her alleged involvement in 41 burglaries in Vizag city, Vizianagaram and East Godavari districts, police said.

The accused was not only involved in property offences but also indulged in several cases including trafficking of women, illegal transportation of Narcotic substances and several cases were pending against her.
Accused Yendeti Ganga alias Kumari

The accused has been identified as Yendeti Ganga alias Kumari, hailing from Burma Camp in Kancharapalem area and a resident of Morampudi in Rajamahendravaram. She was earlier arrested in 2013, said police.
“In total, 500 gm of gold ornaments have been recovered from her possession and investigation is on to recover 2.5 kgs of gold from her accomplices,” City police commissioner T Yoganand told the media.
City Police Commissioner T Yoganand said the accused is a school dropout and is active in Vizag, Vizianagaram, East Godavari and West Godavari districts.
“Ganga resorted to crimes to lead a lavish life and started with petty offences in 1992 to overcome her financial problems. She had married to one Appala Raju and later she again married Viswanadha Reddy and have two daughters. However, the couple were also separated and she had married for the third time to Kosaraju Narasimha Rao alias Shiva, a property offender,” the city police commissioner.
