Hyderabad: The long-pending ‘political’ tour in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh by AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’ son Lokesh would finally take off in the second week of April. Tentatively, Lokesh, who is also the coordinator of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Workers’ Welfare Fund, will kick-start his tour from Ranga Reddy district in Telangana on April 12. During his visit, the TDP leader will console bereaved families of the TDP workers who died of ill health and road accidents or due to other reasons.
On behalf of the party, the leader will also hand over Rs 2 lakh financial assistance to the families of the deceased party workers from the workers’ welfare fund. Party sources said buoyed by the victory of the TDP- BJP combine in the just-concluded elections for the graduate constituencies in Telangana Legislative Council, Lokesh was more interested to visit many places in Telangana. He wanted to instil confidence among party activists that TDP was the only alternative to Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in the Telangana in the coming elections.
