BRAU cancels three exams due to question paper leak

Srikakulam:  B R Ambedkar University has cancelled three degree examinations – Physics first and second year and second year Chemistry – following the leakage of question papers. The examinations were held on March 27 and 30 respectively.  The university, according to sources, had outsourced preparation of question papers as internal bickering kept the senior faculty members away from the task.

The contract teachers had reportedly prepared the question papers with the help of outsourcing technical staff.  The police suspect that the question papers could have been leaked by outsourcing staff. Apart from it, the question papers had been sent to examination centres straightway and it also could have contributed to the leakage.  Out of 43 Degree Colleges in the district, only 11 are government institutions.  Joint Collector Vivek Yadav and Superintendent of Police A S Khan, accompanied by CCS DSP Venu Gopla Naidu, visited the BRAU campus and spoke to the authorities in the university.
