Polavaram Project died in 2009 with YSR : Undavalli Arun Kumar

It's Not YSR Who Died in 2009, It's Polavaram
Rajahmundry former MP and close-aide of late CM Rajasekhar Reddy, Undavalli Arun Kumar, stated that it’s not YS Rajasekhar Reddy who died in 2009 but it’s his dream project Polavaram project which died in 2009. Speaking to media after a long gap, Undavalli hit out CM Chandrababu Naidu’s idea of Pattiseema Project.

Calling Pattiseema Project as “Ubhaya Brashtu” (Double Waste) Seema Project, Undavalli asked Chandrababu to drop his plans to build Pattiseema Project with immediate effect. Instead, he suggested to spend the amount on Polavaram Irrigation Project which would do benefit to the people of Andhra Pradesh.

Recalling the tenure of late YSR, Undavalli heaped praises on slain leader. “All the approvals which were got to Polavaram so far have come only during YSR’s tenure. Polavaram is lifeline for the State. It’d be good for Chandrababu if he drop the plan to build Pattiseema. If you continue Pattiseema, it’d bring great losses to farmers and would put a full stop to Polavaram. One should forget Polavaram if Pattiseema is built,” added Undavalli. TDP leaders are yet to react on Undavalli’s comments. Undavalli has been out of media glare ever since he’s been suspended from Congress party for raising his pitch against his own party to bifurcate AP.
