Footage of Ugly scenes is One sided says YSRC

A picture always talks more than words is the slogan taught in every journalism class .The visuals of the ugly happenings in the AP Assembly on Wednesday, however have to be taken with a pinch of salt as it is dubbed as ‘one sided version’ by the opposition parties.

Andhra Pradesh Assembly Chief Whip Kalva Srinivasulu has released footage of YSRC Legislators creating ruckus in the House displaying their gestures and foul language threatening members of treasury benches during the commotion in the house on Pattiseema project.

The footage released by the Chief Whip in the afternoon after the  house  adjourned  shows opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy encouraging his members through gestures to gather at Speaker podium. YSRC MLAs Roja and Kodali Nani could be seen abusing the treasury benches and threatening them through gestures and foul language.

“We are not releasing the audio to the channels as people of the state will lose confidence on the legislature,” Srinivasulu said adding that the few TDP MLAs also lost their temper due to the conduct of the YSRC legislators who were hell bent on disrupting the house proceedings. Another TDP MLA and Minister K Acchen Naidu recalled that the Leader of Opposition Jaganmohan Reddy had earlier at the BAC meeting warned the Speaker that there will be “ugly scenes “in the Assembly which had become a reality now.

Reacting to the release of the footage by the TDP leader, YSRC has questioned the veracity of the visuals because it showed only one sided version (YSRC) of the commotion leaving the alleged provocation from (TDP) Treasury benches. “Mrs. Roja is trying to clear her entangled sari from her footwear, which was misconstrued and displayed as an attack the TDP members,” said YSRC MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, supporting his party members.

“What else they (TDP members) can do. Either they have to rape me, whom they (TDP) can’t do, or kill and defame me”; an irate Roja told the press immediately after the release of the footage. Meanwhile, TDP members are contemplating to take the issue with the Speaker to initiate action against the YSRC MLAs.
