Vexed with severe depression, a couple committed suicide in their flat in Mallayya Peta area of Rajahmundry on Tuesday morning.According to police, Muppidi Venkateswara Rao(53), who hailed from Sri Rampuram village in Tuni mandal, was working as a fitter with the AP Paper Mills in Rajahmundry. He, along with his wife Prabhavati(47), had been under severe depression owing to their prolonged illness. The couple is survived by their two daughters. After performing the marriage of their daughters, the couple were living alone in Rajahmundry. Venkateswara Rao joined duty recently after taking a six-month leave.
